The WCC Membership is due now and you must be paid up by the 30th December 2016 to be eligible to enter the first monthly competition of 2017. We haven’t raised our membership fees in many years and this year is no exception with general membership only $70 for the year. That is just about 20 cents a day for what is a very full year of competitions, workshops, talks, outings, specialist groups, trips away and much much more, where else would you get value for money like this. Details and how to pay your membership are in the flyer below, please don’t forget to put your member number in the transaction or your renewal might be delayed.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the 3rd WCC Annual Presentation Night to be held in Mt Waverley Community Centre’s Main Hall on Tuesday 6th December 2016. As per the flyer below, we have a great night planned this year we will be awarding trophies for Best Colour Print of the Year, Best Mono and Best Colour EDIs of the Year. We will also be announcing the A and B Grade Aggregate Trophy winners and of the prestigious, world renowned and much sort after, President’s Trophy.
Partners and family are VERY welcome to attend, why not bring them along to see what you get up to every Tuesday night. The cost of such a wonderful evening is only $25 for members and $30 for non-members but, you MUST RSVP by 20th November to the address on the flyer. Please see below for further details:
The club will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 18th October 2016 at 7.30pm in the Craft Room at Mt Waverley Community Centre. It is important that as many members attend as possible so we’ve spiced things up by having a Buy, Swap and Sell session to be held directly after the AGM.
If you want to have a say in running the club or you have points that you wish to bring up regardless of what they are from things we are doing right or wrong all the way to places to visit in 2017 or competition themes etc. then, you need to attend the AGM.
Please remember that the club is only as successful as it is because of the tireless work that the committee and the members carry out behind the scenes, if you think that you can help then why not volunteer? You don’t have to commit to being on the committee, there are plenty of other things that need to be done from buying coffee, tea and biscuits for the competition night right through to running mentoring sessions. Of course there is no requirement to help out but if you want a say in how the club runs then this is your opportunity.
Please bring along any photography related equipment that you wish to give away, swap or sell to make this a successful evening because lets face it, after the AGM we will need something to bring us back to reality 🙂
